Press Conference in the Philippines

The Bahrain World Economic Summit Philippines, Inc. (BWESPI) made its official introduction of the Arab-Philippines Business Summit (APBS) 2012 to the Filipino people through a local press conference last September 12, 2012 at the BWESPI Office, Eden’s Place, 7 Rosal St., Gorordo Ave., Brgy. Camputhaw, Cebu City, Philippines.

Gracing the event are the two biggest TV networks, ABS-CBN and GMA-7. An interesting exchange of thoughts ensued as VP-Executive Alexander G. Lumarda, Strategic Planning Head Paul C. Gahi and Spokesperson Edward Keith G. Capoy eloquently answered every question. Questions revolved mainly on what the summit is all about, how the summit was conceptualized and realized, what countries, business sectors and industries are involved, and what benefits the participants and the Philippine economy will get from the summit.

The press conference was aired for two days through “Balitang Bisdak”, GMA-7’s local news program and “Maayong Buntag Kapamilya”, ABS-CBN’s local news program. The event was aimed at informing the Filipino people that one of the biggest ventures in the business world can finally make happen with Philippines at a very strategic position to advance its economy and its people.

BWESPI plans to go on national TV through prominent Talk Shows to further bolster its campaign of informing and inviting social and economic business leaders, corporate entities, investors, entrepreneurs, industry trendsetters, professional bodies, stakeholders, partners and other role-makers to the first and biggest endeavor of interconnecting the Gulf States and the Philippines.
